Switching to Callario

Change help desks one channel at a time.

Moving from Zendesk, Intercom or another help desk? Bring your customers and companies across from a CSV export and your help-centre articles from their files. Start with the website widget while your current tool carries on, then move the rest when you’re ready. There is no automated importer, and ticket history stays where it is.

  • CSV import for customers and companies, with revert
  • Articles imported as drafts you review first
  • Widget identity signed by your server, Intercom-style

01Day one on the new widget

Your articles and your customers,
answering from the first chat.

The first customer on the new widget is already signed in on your site. Callario matches her to the record you imported, looks up her subscription through your own endpoint, and answers from an article that came across from your old help centre.

Can I pause my plant box while I’m away in August?

Yes — you can pause for up to two months under Account › Subscription, and nothing ships while it’s paused. Your next Monthly Box goes out on 4 August, so pause before the 1st to skip it.

03How the move works

A move you can make in steps, and stop halfway.

  • A big-bang weekend cutover, with everything moved at once.

Start with the website widget; your current tool keeps everything else until you move it.

  • Customer data re-keyed by hand or through a services project.

CSV import matches existing records, runs large files in the background, and can be reverted.

  • Your help centre rebuilt article by article.

Upload the exported files; each becomes a draft that keeps its headings, lists, links and tables.

  • Chat visitors you can’t tie to an account.

Your server signs who the visitor is; the AI reads that customer’s governed record and nobody else’s.

04Honest about scope

What you can move today, and what has to wait.

Live today

  • Customers and companies, by CSV import with preview and revert
  • Help-centre articles from HTML, Markdown, PDF and text files
  • Website widget with signed visitor identity, and a hosted chat link
  • A help centre for your customers, in English and Arabic

Next on the roadmap

  • Email, WhatsApp and Slack as channels
  • Native Shopify, Stripe and HubSpot actions

05Straight answers

Straight answers
about switching.

Is there an automated Zendesk or Intercom importer?
No. You export customers and organisations or companies to CSV and import them into the CRM, and export your help-centre articles as HTML, Markdown or PDF files and upload them. Each file becomes a draft you review before the AI can use it. We help you plan the move.
Can we bring our ticket history?
Not today — there is no ticket or conversation history import. Keep your current help desk available read-only for past tickets; the CSV import brings across who your customers and companies are, so new conversations start on the right record.
We use Intercom’s identity verification. Does that carry over?
The approach does. Your server signs the visitor’s email with a secret using HMAC-SHA256 — or a phone number, or your own user ID — and the widget passes the signature along. You sign with a new Callario secret instead of your old one. An unsigned identity is treated as display-only and never links a visitor to an existing record.
Can we run Callario alongside our current tool?
Yes, and that is how we suggest you start. Put the widget on your website, or share the hosted chat link, while your current help desk handles everything else. Move the help centre next, and the rest as Callario adds the channels you need.
What about our email support?
Email is on the roadmap, not live yet. Keep email support in your current tool for now; your team can still work web chat and help-centre requests in Callario alongside it.
